
Charity Oyedeji, MD
Charity is a hematologist and researcher studying sickle cell disease at Duke University. Her work focuses on developing strategies to promote healthy aging for people living with sickle cell disease.She developed the first functional assessment for older adults with sickle cell disease called the Sickle Cell Disease Functional Assessment™ tool and the first ever exercise program for older adults with sickle cell disease called SickleFit™.She loves to empower people underrepresented in science to pursue research careers. She also enjoys cooking plant-based recipes.
